About Scythikon

Scythikon brings the war to your speakers

Born out of the blood trail of a wounded world,

Scythikon is a sonic war machine forged in the fire of a burning rusty backyard barrel. Blending primal aggression with apocalyptic vision, the sound is raw, unrelenting, and steeped in the instinct to survive when everything else has turned to ruin.

With bone-crushing riffs, blood-soaked vocals, and lyrics that spit in the face of civilization’s slow decay, Scythikon delivers metal for the hopeless generation — a soundtrack to surviving in a world where only the ruthless remain.

Our Mission

When the world ends,

turn this up.

How it began

Scythikon is the unfiltered result of a long-burning vision — a war machine born in the shadows of Pär Hulkoff’s work with his established metal acts HULKOFF and Raubtier. Some of the early material found its place elsewhere. But the darkest, most venomous parts were set aside — too intense, too primal, and too unforgiving for anything else.

That material laid dormant until the chaos of the lockdown years, when Hulkoff joined forces with German drum berserker Wanja “Nechtan” Gröger, and Scythikon was forged into reality.

Named after the ancient Scythian death poison — a brutal mix of venom, blood, and filth — Scythikon is not about history. It’s about survival. The music is raw and punishing, like life itself. This is metal made for a collapsing society — war hymns for those who sharpen blades in the dark and live by their own law.

Guitars were tracked through Hulkoff’s vintage 1993 Marshall stack, with J-son on bass and Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed) behind the final mix. The result: an uncompromising sonic assault built on instinct, aggression, and total self-reliance.

Stock your ammo. Sharpen your blades.
The collapse is coming — and we’ve written the soundtrack.
